Thanos Dimadis was the guest speaker at the Foreign Press Center of State Department in New York. He talked to the new generation of young journalists from Portugal about the international role foreign correspondents play in America to protect the democratic institutions in their countries of origin. During his remarks, Dimadis brought as an example the status of utilization of fake news from former government officials in his country (Greece) aiming to intimidate journalists, manipulate the public opinion and downgrade Democracy.
